The Indianapolis Home Show publishes no room block for its January 15 to January 24, 2027 run. Every hold is negotiated property by property. The organiser supplies no allotment, no cut-off date and no attrition clause.
The show runs ten consecutive days at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Marketplace Events produces it. Exhibits sit in Expo Hall and the West Pavilion. The show page names two hotels and one rental company.
The Ten Days and the Two Weekend Pairs
January 15, 2027 is a Friday. January 24 is a Sunday. The run divides into three pieces of demand.
The first weekend pair is Friday, January 15 and Saturday, January 16. The second pair is Friday, January 22 and Saturday, January 23. Those four nights carry the weekend leisure pressure of the run.
Between the pairs sits a Monday-to-Thursday block. January 18, 19, 20 and 21 give four contiguous nights with no weekend night inside them.
Show hours shape the arrival. Doors open at 10:00 a.m. every day. Friday and Saturday close at 8:00 p.m. The Monday-to-Thursday block closes at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday closes at 5:00 p.m. A crew working opening day books Thursday, January 14 as a pre-show night.
Both buildings sit on the one fairgrounds site. A group booked near 38th Street walks to either hall. The page carries an ADA drop-off and pick-up map and asks drivers to turn on flashers on arrival.
The Four Nights to Price Separately
The show publishes one admission discount inside the run. Admission costs $5 after 5:00 p.m. at the box office from Monday, January 18 to Thursday, January 21.
Ask the property whether those four nights price softer than the two weekend pairs. Ask for the midweek rate as a separate line in the contract. A ten-day hold priced as one blended nightly rate hides the difference.
Size the commitment in room nights before the call. Twenty rooms across nine nights is 180 room nights. Four of those nights fall in the Monday-to-Thursday block. A property that discounts the midweek four and holds the weekend four is cheaper than a property that spreads one discount across all nine.
The Accommodations the Show Names
The accommodations list runs three entries. Hampton Inn NE Castleton Indianapolis sits at 6817 East 82nd Street, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Candlewood Suites Indianapolis NE sits at 8111 Bash Street, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Lazy Sunday Rentals, described on the page as a local, women-owned Indianapolis vacation rental company, offers homes with full kitchens, workspaces and free parking, and a 10 percent discount on direct bookings with the code LAZYINDYHOMESHOW.
Neither hotel publishes a rate, a room count or a group code on the show page. Each entry carries a website link. The hotel links carry an arrival of 2026-03-26 and a departure of 2026-03-27. Confirm the stay terms behind those links before a group quotes them.
The room rates start at each property's published figure and are negotiated from there.
The Fairgrounds Campground as the Fallback
The RV Campgrounds at the State Fairgrounds sit on the same 1202 E. 38th Street site as the show. The show page publishes the rate at $40 plus tax per day with hook-up, and the phone number 317-927-7500. Ten days at that rate is $400 plus tax per site.
The published amenities list year-round camping, indoor showers and flush toilets, washers and dryers, electricity, sewer hook-ups, sanitary dumping stations and potable water. For a ten-day show the campground removes the nightly rate negotiation and puts the group inside the fairgrounds.
The fairgrounds camping page states that full hook-up sites run April through October and that electric-only hook-ups run November through March, with the dump station closed over that stretch. Confirm the connection for a January arrival before the group travels.
The Clauses a Ten-Day Run Needs
With no organiser block there is no published cut-off date and no published attrition term. Both come from the property. Both decide the group's exposure on a nine-night hold.
A nine-night hold runs Friday, January 15 through Saturday, January 23, with checkout on Sunday, January 24. That covers every show day for an attendee who sleeps on site.
Three questions settle the contract. What release date applies to unreserved rooms in the block. What attrition percentage the property attaches to a nine-night commitment. Whether the four midweek nights release earlier than the two weekend pairs.
Add two more. What deposit the property holds, and when it falls due. What the cancellation ladder charges at 90 days, at 60 days and at 30 days.
What to Book First
Book the two weekend pairs first. Friday and Saturday nights are the four nights most likely to sell out.
Put the pre-show night and the midweek block into the same agreement if the property takes a blended rate. Take the campground if the property does not.
Two further details belong in writing. Parking inside the fairgrounds runs $10 per day per car, per the show pages. Across the ten show days that is $100 per car for a group that parks on site every day.
One more clock matters. The show office number is 317-927-1469. The page states that number works only from January 11 to January 25, 2027. File the room request before that window opens.
General admission is $15 at the door and $13 online, and children 12 and under enter free. The show lists a Corporate Ticket Program with a contact link and no published discount. Ask the show office what the corporate rate covers and whether a room request changes it.
Opening day is Hero Day. The page publishes free admission for active military, veterans, police, fire, nurses, doctors and first responders with valid ID, plus free parking at the fairgrounds that day. Teacher Day follows on Sunday, January 17 with free admission for teachers and school staff. Senior Day on Tuesday, January 19 prices admission at $5 for anyone 65 and over.
