The published clock has run
Semiconductor and electronics manufacturing companies meet at SEMICON West on October 13 to 15, 2026 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Convention Management Resources is the official housing provider. Its exhibitor housing page carries the date ladder that governed the block.
General exhibitor housing opened on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 9 a.m. Pacific time. The opening covered individual reservations and block requests of ten rooms or more. Priority sponsor block requests opened one week earlier, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
The closing dates are published in order. The rooming list deadline was Friday, August 28, 2026. The last day to cancel a reservation without penalty was Friday, September 25, 2026. The last day to add, change or cancel a reservation was Tuesday, September 29, 2026. Hotels took over reservation management on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
The housing pages now carry one line: Housing is now closed. Please contact your confirmed hotel directly for changes and cancellations beginning 10/1/2026. A company that arrives without rooms negotiates with the property.
What stays open to an exhibiting company
Function space and hospitality suite space stay available on prior approval. The organisers publish the rule in three places. The housing information page states that requests for hospitality suites and meeting rooms at the Moscone Center or at one of the official conference hotels need prior approval from SEMI show management. The exhibitor service centre states that meeting space requests are available to exhibiting companies only. The Exhibitor FAQ states the same rule for exhibiting and sponsoring companies.
The function space request form repeats the restriction. Meeting space requests are available for exhibiting companies only, and all requests go to SEMI for show management approval.
The form publishes what an application must carry. It asks for the company, the group contact, the address, an office and mobile number, an email address and the date of completion. It asks for the function type: meeting, hospitality or reception, breakfast, lunch or dinner. It asks whether the room sits in a hotel meeting room or a hotel suite. It asks for the dates, the estimated attendance, the preferred hotels and any audio-visual requirement. The named contact is Andrea Blood at SEMI.
Meeting rooms and the published prices
The organisers rent two private meeting room areas. Area 1 sits in South Hall, Hall C on the expo floor. A twelve-person room rents by the full day at $3,100 for exhibitors, $4,100 for SEMI members and $5,100 for non-members. A twenty-person room rents by the full day at $4,600 for exhibitors, $5,500 for SEMI members and $6,500 for non-members. Both sets include a table, chairs, an electrical drop and an amenity table.
Area 2 sits in the North Hall Upper Lobby. A six-person room rents by the half day at $900 for exhibitors, $1,300 for SEMI members and $1,600 for non-members.
The meeting room page carries a warning that inventory is extremely limited. All meeting rooms for Tuesday and Wednesday have been reserved, and Thursday, October 15 is the only remaining day. The organisers also ran an exclusive booking period for 2026 exhibitors through May 18.
Who may enter the room, and what else is payable
Every participant in a meeting space must be registered for SEMICON West 2026. Exhibitors have the NVYTES tool from July 2026 to extend an unlimited number of complimentary one-day passes. A non-exhibiting company receives a custom link for a limited number of one-day passes, set by the number of seats booked. Catering, floral, audio-visual and graphics are payable by the company that books the room.
The published housing terms
A credit card guarantee is required for room block requests and for individual reservations. Hotels may charge a deposit of one night's room and tax two to three weeks before arrival. Attendee housing holds blocks at special rates, and the organisers state the hotels were chosen for proximity to the Moscone Convention Center.
Two published lines sit apart. The housing information page still directs a request for ten or more rooms to a room block request. The housing reservation page states that housing is closed. A company that needs ten or more rooms should put the pair to SEMI housing in writing.
The organisers also publish an exclusivity warning. Convention Management Resources is the only hotel management company authorised to place reservations for SEMICON West. No other company or travel agency holds agreements with the San Francisco hotels. Companies that receive an unsolicited offer of hotel rooms without the official contractor seal are told to forward it to the SEMICON West team.
The programme shape and the next edition
The agenda opens with a pre-show Monday carrying SEMI U courses and a SEMI market symposium. Tuesday through Thursday carry chief executive keynotes, expo floor sessions and TechTALKS. WestFest, the show's Oktoberfest-themed networking event, runs on Tuesday, October 13 from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. in Moscone South, Level 300.
SEMI announced the next schedule on July 30, 2026. SEMICON West moves to an annual spring schedule at the Phoenix Convention Center from March 30 to April 1, 2027, and Phoenix becomes the event's long-term home.
What the organisers do not publish
No nightly rate, room count or block cut-off is published on any page read for this piece. No attrition percentage or penalty formula is published. The block contract goes out by email after a request is processed, and no catering price list is published.
A coordinator who needs Moscone space should file the function space form first and lead with the Thursday date. Approval sits with SEMI show management. The application stays open to exhibiting companies.
