NTEA publishes the Work Truck Week 2027 schedule on worktruckweek.com. The event returns to the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, March 9 to 12, 2027. The schedule carries four blocks. The Future Truck Summit runs March 9. The educational program runs March 9 to 11. The Work Truck Week Ride and Drive runs March 10 to 11. The Work Truck Show exhibit hall runs March 10 to 12.
March 9, 2027 is a Tuesday. March 10 is a Wednesday. March 11 is a Thursday. March 12 is a Friday. March 13 is a Saturday.
One Arrival Covers Every Session
A March 9 arrival and a March 13 departure reaches the whole programme. That stay is four nights: March 9, 10, 11 and 12. It covers the summit on its opening day, the education sessions across their three days, the Ride and Drive across both of its days and the exhibit hall across all three of its days. The exhibit hall closes on Friday, March 12. The night of March 12 is the last night the stay needs.
Ask the hotel to price those four nights as one block. Ask for the March 8 rate as well.
Exhibitor Crews Arrive Earlier
The exhibitor rules and regulations brochure for Work Truck Week 2027 sets the build deadline. All exhibit items must be delivered to the Indiana Convention Center and completely installed by 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2027. Aisle carpet installation begins at that hour. Crates for booths larger than 300 square feet must be marked for storage by 2 p.m. Minor exhibit touch-up is permitted on Wednesday, March 10 between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m.
Trade Show Management issues a targeted booth move-in schedule about five months before the show. The brochure recommends that special service arrangements be made at least 90 days before the show opens.
An exhibiting company that builds a booth on the show floor needs its crew in town before the Tuesday afternoon deadline. That crew books its own travel, and its arrival can fall on March 7 or March 8. A block held to a March 9 arrival under-holds against the build.
The Release Side Runs To March 13
The same brochure closes the other end of the week. Exhibits may not be removed after installation and before the close of the Trade Show on Friday, March 12, 2027, unless trade show management gives written consent. An exhibitor who pulls part of an exhibit before the close loses 12 points from its priority point total. All exhibits must be removed from the Indiana Convention Center by 5 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2027.
Two dates frame the exhibitor week. Installation completes at 3 p.m. on March 9. Removal completes at 5 p.m. on March 13. Both dates sit inside the four-night window a coordinator would book.
The Housing Cut-Off Is Not Published
NTEA has not published a housing cut-off for 2027. Its August 11, 2026 press release tells industry professionals to sign up for event updates and to receive notification when registration and housing open in the fall.
The NTEA event policy places housing risk on the registrant. Registrants are responsible for cancelling travel arrangements or housing reservations and for the applicable fees. The policy sets no date and no fee.
So the block cut-off is a term to negotiate. Ask the hotel for the cut-off date on a March 9 arrival and for the release date on unbooked rooms. Ask whether the hotel will move the cut-off later for a block that grows through the fall.
What 5,200 Connected Rooms Change
Visit Indy publishes more than 9,400 hotel rooms downtown, with 5,200 connected to the Indiana Convention Center. Its connected-hotel page counts 12 hotels and 5,200 connected rooms, and more than 10,000 rooms within walking distance of the convention center.
The Future Truck Summit itself sits in a hotel. NTEA holds it at the JW Marriott Indianapolis on the Tuesday of Work Truck Week, the day before the exhibit hall opens. The JW Marriott carries 1,005 rooms and anchors Marriott IndyPlace, five interconnected Marriott brands with 2,276 rooms.
A connected property puts a delegate inside the skywalk system for the show floor. Ask the hotel which entrance the skywalk reaches and how long the indoor walk takes.
The Summit Is New For 2027
The Future Truck Summit replaces the Green Truck Summit. NTEA is running it with NAFA Fleet Management Association. The organiser describes the curriculum as covering fuels, software, hardware and on-vehicle technology. The format carries over from its predecessor: a keynote address and general sessions in the morning, then lunch and a choice of breakouts in the afternoon.
Two Events Share The Week
The IU Natatorium lists the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships on its calendar for March 9 to 13, 2027. Work Truck Week runs at the Indiana Convention Center across the same days.
Ask the hotel what else it holds for that week and when it releases those rooms.
What The 2026 Edition Drew
NTEA reported a verified 15,646 commercial vehicle professionals at Work Truck Week 2026. The 2027 release lists 500-plus exhibitors. The association represents more than 2,100 companies and was established in 1964.
The organiser publishes event dates through 2030. Work Truck Week 2028 runs March 7 to 10. The 2029 edition runs March 6 to 9. The 2030 edition runs March 5 to 8.
