Three attendance figures and one housing provider
The ASHA Annual Convention runs November 19 to 21, 2026 at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 South Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis. Three attendance figures are published. The venue forecasts 13,500. The venue's event description says approximately 13,000. The organiser's convention site says approximately 15,000.
The venue also reports more than 2,500 sessions and nearly 400 exhibitors.
Housing has a single route. Maritz Global Events is ASHA's official and only registration and hotel reservations provider. The organiser states that Maritz is the only official housing company, that the reservations site is reachable through convention.asha.org, and that unauthorised companies contact exhibitors and attendees with lower quotes.
What the rate sheet publishes
ASHA publishes a hotel rate sheet as a PDF, dated as of 9/10/26. It gives per-night rates by occupancy for the official hotels.
Tru by Hilton Indianapolis Downtown at 601 Russel Avenue runs $169 across single, double, double/double, triple and quad. The Holiday Inn Indianapolis Downtown at 515 S. West Street runs $169 for the first three occupancies, $179 triple and $189 quad.
The Hilton Indianapolis Hotel & Suites at 120 W. Market Street runs $199 across all occupancies, with suites from $249. The Westin Indianapolis at 241 W. Washington Street, listed as co-leadership, runs $278 for single through double/double, $288 triple and $298 quad, with suites from $354. The JW Marriott Indianapolis at 10 S. West Street, also co-leadership, runs $298 and up. The Conrad Indianapolis at 50 W. Washington Street runs $300, with suites from $699.
The sheet carries three conditions. Rates are subject to change before housing opens on August 3, 2026. Reservations must go through ASHA's housing service to obtain them. Rates are per night, exclude taxes and include complimentary basic internet.
Those are individual booking rates. No group ladder, no block rate and no per-night minimum appear on the sheet.
What remains unpublished
No cut-off date appears on the ASHA housing pages. No attrition clause appears. No group room ladder appears. You take rooms against a rate sheet that can move on August 3, and you hold the block as flexible as the hotel allows.
The registration ladder is published. Member pricing runs $419, $469, $519 and $569 across Early Bird, Advance, Regular and Onsite. That ladder governs badges.
Two booking terms are published. There are no change fees and no prepayment at booking. Walking distance or a free shuttle covers hotels outside walking range.
The week and the nights
Wednesday, November 18 is the pre-convention day. Board, committee and council meetings run 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Registration opens at 11:00 AM. Ticketed state association pre-convention workshops run 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Thursday, November 19 is the first full day. Registration runs 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The Opening General Session runs 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM. The Exhibit Hall opens at 10:00 AM and closes at 6:00 PM. Education sessions run 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
Friday, November 20 runs education sessions 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Exhibit Hall hours 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Saturday, November 21 closes the week. Registration runs 7:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Education sessions and the Research Symposium both run 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Exhibit Hall closes at 1:30 PM.
A Thursday arrival and a Saturday release is two nights. The Wednesday pre-convention night makes three. The Wednesday programme opens with an 8:00 AM committee meeting, and a delegate seated on that committee cannot make that start from a Wednesday morning flight. Ask whether that delegate needs Tuesday night as well.
Complimentary shuttles run November 19 to 21 for attendees staying at ASHA hotels outside walking distance. ADA-accessible shuttles with a wheelchair lift serve all ASHA hotels. ASHA provides no airport ground transportation.
The group discount sits on registration
ASHA gives the eighth registration free when seven or more attendees from the same workplace register. The discount applies to ASHA members, ASHA Affiliates and NSSLHA members. It applies to full in-person registration only and to a single transaction.
It does not apply to one-day registration, virtual-only registration, pre-convention workshops, short courses or special event tickets.
That discount does not touch the room block. A large group earns free registrations and no room concession. Ask the housing provider for a room concession on its own.
Registration and hotel reservations both opened August 3, 2026 at 10:00 AM Eastern.
What to get in writing
Ask for the cut-off date and the release-back time on cut-off day. Neither appears on an ASHA page, so the date comes from the hotel or the housing provider.
Ask which attendance figure sizes the block: 13,500 from the venue forecast, approximately 13,000 from the venue description, or approximately 15,000 from the organiser.
Ask whether the negotiated rate from the 9/10/26 sheet holds at contract and for how long.
Ask for the attrition percentage and its measurement basis.
Ask for the rooming list deadline and the name-change window after it closes.
Ask which hotels in your selection carry shuttle eligibility.
Ask about parking for delegates driving to Indianapolis.
Accessibility requests should arrive before October 22, and ASL interpreter or CART requests before October 5. ASHA states that later requests may go unmet. Ask the hotel what documentation it needs and by when.
