The event and its three hotels
DeVeau’s Circle of Stars Gymnastics Invitational runs 29 to 31 January 2027 at the Indiana Convention Center. The venue lists a forecast attendance of 5,000 and assigns the event to Exhibit Hall I-K. DeVeau’s Gymnastics Booster Club hosts it, and the 2027 edition is the 35th.
The organiser publishes one hotel page, and it carries three official properties. Hyatt Place at 130 S. Pennsylvania Street sits steps from the convention center. Embassy Suites at 110 West Washington Street connects to the convention center by skywalk, and the organiser puts Lucas Oil Stadium a 10-minute walk away. Crowne Plaza at 123 West Louisiana Street sits within walking distance of Lucas Oil Stadium and Gainbridge Fieldhouse, and it carries two full-service restaurants off the lobby.
Each property has its own booking link. Hyatt Place takes the group code G-CC27. Crowne Plaza takes the group code C7Q. Embassy Suites books through Hilton's attend-my-event channel. None of those pages publishes a rate and none publishes a cut-off date, so the block terms come from the property.
The programme behind the booking
The organiser states that the event combines men's and women's artistic gymnastics, and that four competition floors carry AAI equipment. Three gyms run women's competition and one runs men's. Women compete at Levels 2 through 10 and across every Xcel level. Men compete at Levels 3 through 10, alongside a Men's GymACT division. The organiser describes the event as one of the largest volunteer-run invitationals in the country.
29 January 2027 is a Friday. 31 January is a Sunday. Two nights sit inside that window, Friday and Saturday. A family that arrives on the Thursday and leaves on the Sunday needs three nights, and the Thursday sits outside the competition programme.
Deadlines that move the entry list
Registration runs in three steps. The athlete registers through USA Gymnastics, the club tabulates fees on the organiser's payment worksheet, and the club pays online. Payment in full is due at registration, and the organiser states that unpaid entries are at risk of release to a waitlist.
Two dates govern the entry list. The scratches and refund deadline is 16 November 2026. The level-change deadline is 14 December 2026, and the organiser states that changes depend on available space.
Entry fees run in two tiers. Women's artistic Levels 2 through 5 and the Xcel Bronze, Silver and Gold levels pay $155 per athlete. Women's Levels 6 through 10 and Xcel Platinum, Diamond and Sapphire pay $175. Men's Levels 3 through 5 pay $155, and Levels 6 through 10 pay $175. The team fee is $55 in every division.
Those dates govern the entry list, and the entry list governs the block. Ask the hotel for the cut-off date in writing and hold it against 16 November 2026.
Room-to-club arithmetic
The venue publishes attendance and no club count. The organiser publishes no club count either. Ask the organiser for the number of clubs entered and the number of athletes per club.
The award schedule shows the team structure behind the entry list. The organiser pays $7,000 in team cash awards across the divisions, from $100 per team at the entry levels to $1,500 at women's Level 10, and awards a $1,500 scholarship to one athlete from the women's competition and one from the men's competition.
None of that states how many people travel with each athlete. Ask for the ratio of athletes to accompanying adults before anyone sizes the block.
The demand on the same weekend
The venue calendar puts three forecasts on 29 January. Circle of Stars carries 5,000. The RxHealing Sales Convention runs the same three days and carries 2,000. The Dot Foods National Business Meeting closes that day and carries 2,000. The three sum to 9,000 against 7,100 downtown rooms. The Indianapolis Royal Weekend follows on 31 January with 1,250.
Downtown Indianapolis holds 7,100 hotel rooms. Of those, 4,700 connect to the convention center by skywalk, and the venue counts 200 restaurants within walking distance. The convention center states that skywalk hours are event-dependent, with a lock-down near 11:00 p.m. and a reopening near 6:00 a.m.
Two groups therefore open on the same Friday. Ask the hotel which room types sit inside the Circle of Stars block, how many rooms sit on the peak night, and whether the block holds Thursday 28 January. Ask whether a two-night minimum applies and whether it covers Friday and Saturday.
What to put in the request
Ask for the rate, the destination fees, the parking charge and the breakfast terms in one request. Ask whether the block carries the same rate on the Thursday shoulder. Ask for the release date and for the notice the hotel gives before it drops rooms.
Ask the hotel to confirm the group code, the room types behind it and the cut-off. A family that drives in weighs a downtown rate against parking and against the walk from the room to Exhibit Hall I-K, and the skywalk answers that question at one of the three properties.
